A comic opera about 'Umm... terrorism actually'.

'A Shoe Full of Stars' follows the journey of Splodge, an ordinary teenager who, after a terrorist attack, suddenly finds himself on a bizarre, magical island where conflict is bubbling up everywhere, and nothing is as it seems.

Created with Opera Schmopera, York University, North Huddersfield Trust School and anti-terrorist organisation The Active Change Foundation.

Winner of 'Best Opera' at the Youth Audience Music awards 2018. A Shoe Full of Stars is the recipient of an Opera Award Foundation Bursary 2017/18. The original cast received The Ashbrow Ward and Birkby Community Hub Young Volunteers of The Year Award 2018 for their work.
